The Association works with government and various organizations to define and address the economic development needs of the manufacturing community. The Association takes pro-active project based approach to various projects that enhance the economic strength of the region. The Association’s current focus is on the following initiatives:

Market Development Initiatives
• Local Industry Supporting Local Industry
• Promote Members as Suppliers to Other Member Companies

Growing Markets
• Address Overseas Competition and Keep Work in the USA
• Educate and Understand How to Take Advantage of Free Trade
• Implement Government Contract Procurement Initiative

Promoting Specific Local Manufacturing Needs
• Act as a Clearinghouse of Information
• Advocate for Specific Needs of Specific Companies
• Create greater Awareness of Various Local Products Available – List of Companies and the Services they Provide
• Facilitate the Growth of Large as Well as Small Companies in the Southern Tier Through Information Sharing and Defining Best Practices
